Brought to you by New York Local Tours
New York Local Tours and the Guerilla Haiku Movement are teaming up for a special summer event to explore Coney Island! Come down to NYC’s most famous beach for a walking tour and scavenger hunt unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. The first part of this event will be spent with New York Local Tours, discovering the rich history of this famous resort; from the early days of Sodom by the Sea when Coney was ruled by gangsters and prostitutes, to the Nickel Empire and the rise of the mighty Cyclone.
Then Guerilla Haiku takes over! Teams of 6 will unite, grab a haiku scavenger hunt, a bucket of sidewalk chalk and embark on a 3-pronged mission: to cover as much of the area as possible in haiku inspired by Coney Island, to engage as many people as possible in the process, and to document our adventures with photos.
Finally, we will meet up at Steeplechase Beer Garden to enjoy some fabulous food, drink, and to crown the victor of the scavenger hunt! Bring friends, or make new ones; this event is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser! Limited tickets, so get 'em while they last!
All tickets must be purchased in advance from our website at nylocaltours.com!
